Choosing the right fertility is very important for a successful IVF procedure. This is because a well-equipped fertility lab and an experienced fertility doctor can only assure more promising results. The better the clinic, the better the results will be.

Ovaries naturally produce one egg in a month. In an IVF cycle, harvesting a single egg for fertilization is not an ideal choice. So, to improve the chances of successful IVF, your ovaries are stimulated through medicines for 8-14 days to produce more eggs.

The eggs are extracted through a needle attached to a suction device from the follicles. As many as possible, eggs are removed with the help of an ultrasound imaging technique. The collected eggs are stored in the lab in a palatable liquid & incubated. Retrieving six or more mature eggs are considered good for IVF Procedure.

Meanwhile, the male partner’s sperms are collected and sent to the lab to evaluate the quality and quantity of the sperms for a healthy pregnancy. Sperm can be provided at your facility or at the clinic. However, we recommend you to provide the sperm sample at the clinic in reserved chambers.

Now the collected eggs and sperms are placed in a petri dish, also called a cell-culture dish, by creating an ideal environment to fertilize in a special lab. In some cases, a single healthy sperm is injected directly into the egg for better results. This is called an IVF-ICSI process.

The fertilized eggs are kept under observation until it turns out to be an embryo. On day three or day five, 2 to 3 healthy embryos are transferred into the uterus based on availability to improve the success rate of pregnancy. A pregnancy confirmation test is done after two weeks of the IVF procedure.

Cryopreservation is the process of freezing your embryo if you wish to use them in the future. Embryos can be preserved a day after egg retrieval or in the blastocyst stage, i.e., on day 5 or 6 after fertilization.
